ACPUA + STUDENTS: Closure of the IV Regional Assembly of the MEP

In front of more than a hundred students First Year High School of educational centers of Aragon, Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, the ACPUA, through its director, Antonio Serrano, has been present in the act of closing of the IV Autonomic Assembly of the MEP, celebrated with virtual character last Sunday 10th of January. 

The MEP, Model European Parliament, is an educational program that aims to promote awareness of European citizenship in young people and the culture of constructive parliamentary debate through the recreation of parliamentary sessions. High school students have the opportunity to research different topics of European current affairs, give their opinion, present proposals and become "parliamentarians" for a few days at national and European level. The topics they have discussed in this IV Session have been

1. Foreign Affairs Committee: The EU and the strengthening of China.

2. Human Rights Commission: Racism and racial discrimination in the European Union.

3. Committee on Employment and Social Affairs: Teleworking and reconciliation of personal and working life.

4. Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs: The search for digital immunity from the pandemic: efficiency, privacy and surveillance.

 

During this conference, intervened at different times: Berta Sáez, Rector USJ; Ágata Tutzó, Director Fundación San Patricio; Esther Santacruz, Director Colegio Condes de Aragón; Ángel Dolado, Justice of Aragón; Antonio Serrano, Director of ACPUA; Ana Montagud Pérez, General Director of Planning and Equity; Inés Ayala Sender, former member of the European Parliament and Lucía Chocarro, President of the General Assembly - IV Asamblea Autonómica de Aragón del Modelo MEP.
