Accreditation of the position of associate professor with clinical link

What is its purpose

The aim is to offer the institutions that have the ACPUA as an assessment and certification agency, as well as the different interest groups (teachers, assessors and experts, Administration, professionals, employers, etc.), the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with their peers. ), a joint reference text describing both the criteria and the evaluation procedure that the Agency follows when exercising the competence of accreditation of the figure of Hired Doctoral Lecturer with clinical links to the Aragonese public health system attributed to it by the regulations in force (the hiring of this figure of lecturer "will require the possession of the appropriate title of Specialist in Health Sciences and the prior positive evaluation by the Agency for Quality and University Prospects of Aragon in accordance with the protocol established for this purpose").

 

What is the objective of the programme?

The aim of the programme is to accredit the position of Associate Professor with clinical links for staff linked to the Aragonese public health system who meet the requirements established in the programme. In accordance with point 3 of the third transitory provision of Organic Law 2/2023, of 22 March, on the University System, "the accreditation procedure for the post of Contracted Doctoral Professor will continue to be applicable until the provisions of article 85, as well as the provisions of the fourth transitory provision" of the aforementioned Organic Law come into effect.

 

Who is it intended for?

The accreditation is aimed at staff who, at the time of applying for accreditation, meet the following requirements:

- Hold the title of Doctor.

- Be linked to the Aragonese public health system.

- Be in a position to obtain certification of the results of the evaluation of clinical and care management merits issued by the Aragonese Health Service.

The ACPUA Guarantees Committee is the body of the Agency responsible for reporting on appeals lodged against resolutions of the Director, ensuring the correct application of the evaluation, certification and accreditation procedure, reporting on complaints and claims referred to it by the Director, and advising on any matters, claims or questions related to the guarantees and ethics of evaluation that are submitted for its consideration by the Board of Directors or the Director of the Agency.
