On 1 February, Dr. Carmela Chavez, from the Peruvian National Superintendence of University Higher Education (SUNEDU), led a new session of the ACPUA Seminars on Higher Education Quality, which was devoted to the topic: "University reform in Peru: between system transformation and institutional resistance". Carmela Chavez holds a PhD in Sociology, having specialised in comparative university systems. Her interesting lecture took place in the Paraninfo of the University of Zaragoza, in front of an audience of directors of Spanish quality agencies, professors and quality experts from Spain and abroad. The session was chaired by José Ángel Castellanos, Vice-Rector for Academic Policy at the University of Zaragoza.
