REACU’s Extraordinary Meeting

12/03/2021
Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance and Strategic Foresight in Higher Education (ACPUA)

On March 11th , an extraordinary meeting of directors of the Spanish Network of University Quality Assurance Agencies (REACU) took place by videoconference, in order to discuss and draw up a joint study plan on three important national legal reforms in the field of university quality, which are already underway:  the updating of the DOCENTIA program with a view to the future introduction of a new six-year teaching period; the replacement of Royal Decree 1393/2007 with a new Royal Decree on the organization of university education and the procedure for quality assurance; and, finally, the drafting of a new Organic Law of the University System (LOSU, currently in the consultation phase).

The corresponding work plans have been agreed upon, and REACU's respective contributions in each of these three important areas will soon be reflected. In this meeting, convened by ACCUEE (since this year 2021 corresponds to the Canarian agency the technical coordination of REACU), ANECA and all the autonomic agencies have participated.
