On September 20th, the ENQA Board held its regular meeting in Zaragoza. This was the first time that the Board met outside its headquarters in Brussels or apart from a General Assembly. ENQA gathers and assesses more than fifty quality and higher education evaluation agencies in the European Higher Education Area.
The meeting took place in the Paraninfo of the University of Zaragoza and before it the Rector, José Antonio Mayoral, greeted the Board and said a few welcome words. In the meeting, which dealt with regular business of the Association and prepared the ENQA General Assembly that will take place in Stockholm next October, was attended by: Douglas Blackstock (UK, President), Anna Gover (UK, Director), Antonio Serrano (Spain, Treasurer), Doris Herrmann (Germany), Karena Maguire (Ireland), Jolanta Silka (Latvia), Ruben Topchyan (Armenia), Patrick van den Bosch (Belgium) and Elena Cirlan (Moldova, ENQA Secretariat).
