On 5 and 6 February 2026, ACPUA participated in the Technical Conference of the Spanish Network of University Quality Agencies (REACU). This conference, coordinated by the Canary Islands Agency for University Quality and Educational Evaluation (ACCUEE), was a national benchmark event focused on quality assurance in the university system.
Over two days, professionals and representatives from university quality agencies, shared experiences and reflections in a joint working space that proved to be very enriching, thanks to the high technical level of the debates and the numerous contributions made by those attending.
The programme included sessions dedicated to institutional accreditation and the certification of Internal Quality Assurance Systems (SIGC), the evaluation of official university degrees and the evaluation of teaching staff, as well as a block focused on the implications of the new Royal Decree 905/2025 and its impact on university quality assurance processes.
During the conference, the directors of REACU met in a General Assembly to discuss these and other issues in greater depth.
A technical workshop was also held on Friday 6 February, and the conference ended with a sharing of conclusions and an institutional closing ceremony coordinated by REACU.
