Cristina Rodríguez Coarasa, Director of ACPUA, attended the meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations Global Compact that took place in Madrid on Friday 23 May. ACPUA participates as a member of the Global Compact in its commitment to the 2030 Agenda and whose alliance has lasted since 2014.
At the Assembly, the 2024-2025 work plan was presented and approved and the budget for the coming year was approved. The Global Compact's lines of action will reinforce the sustainability leadership of the member organisations with a commitment to active involvement in the Ten Principles of the Global Compact based on human rights, the fight against poverty, labour and environmental standards.
This space for evaluation and decision making is a highly relevant activity in which ACPUA wanted to participate once again this year as an active agent of the system.
The General Assembly was followed, as every year, by the ‘Sustainability Movers 2025’ meeting, which brought together companies, institutions and social entities, serving as a place for reflection to build a fairer, more inclusive and resilient society, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the commitments made with the UN Global Compact.
