VI journey Quality Assurance EU: ACPUA director gives inaugural lecture

As a member of the Board of ENQA and director of the ACPUA, Antonio Serrano has pronounced last December 15 the inaugural conference of the VI European University (EU) Quality Assurance journey on the theme: "New hybrid teaching-learning models: support from Quality Agencies in university transformation". Then, they have discussed in a round table on "The digital transformation in university teaching: challenges and universities" José Carlos Gómez, president of the CRUE; Mercedes Siles, director of ANECA; Federico Morán, director of the Foundation for Knowledge Madri+d and technical coordinator of REACU during 2020; and Juan Manuel Rosas, Vice-rector of Strategy and Change Management of the University of Jaén. Elena Gazapo, Rector of the EU in Madrid, presided over the event. Then, the XII European University Quality Awards have been delivered.

In his speech Antonio Serrano has explained the position of ENQA on the role to be played by the agencies in the face of changes in university teaching as a result of the pandemic, also developing the new functions of accompaniment and improvement that includes the recently approved ENQA Strategic Plan and its implementation in the main projects in which the European Association of Agencies is currently involved in relation to e-learning, micro-credentials, stakeholder participation in quality assurance or European university alliances.
