ACPUA, a full member of ENQA since 2016, attended the webinar organised by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) entitled “Quality Assurance and Learning for Sustainability”, highlighting the interest in keeping up to date with developments in this field.
Various speakers from a range of European institutions, moderated by ENQA Director Anna Gover, presented the latest developments regarding the advancement of sustainability in higher education. There was a discussion on whether these approaches are merely a passing trend or whether they truly represent a significant transformation of teaching, research and institutional practices.
ENQA’s management believes that agencies play a crucial role in strengthening the credibility and depth of sustainability. Consequently, a consultation was launched among its members and affiliates, which has enabled the creation of a current overview of approaches, identifying barriers and exploring the roles of agencies.
