The EQAR Register Committee approves ACPUA’s renewal during its 50th meeting
On 25 and 26 June 2026, members of the EQAR (European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education) Register Committee met in Brussels for their second session of the year. This meeting also held special significance as it coincided with the Committee’s 50th meeting since its inception, a milestone that reflects EQAR’s ongoing commitment to quality assurance in higher education.
During the two-day session, the Committee examined various reports on changes, resolved several eligibility applications and approved new applications for registration in the Register.
Among the agencies whose applications were approved is the Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance and Strategic Foresight in Higher Education (ACPUA), which has thus renewed its membership of EQAR, consolidating its position within the European Higher Education Area. Alongside ACPUA, the Swiss Agency of Accreditation and Quality Assurance (AAQ) and the Danish Accreditation Council (DAC) were also approved. The evaluation reports for the three agencies remain available via DEQAR (Database of External Quality Assurance Results), the official database of external quality assurance results in Europe.
ACPUA’s renewed registration with EQAR constitutes significant international recognition of the work carried out by the Aragonese agency in the fields of evaluation, certification and improvement of university quality. It also reaffirms compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) and enhances Aragón’s visibility within European quality assurance networks.
With this renewal, ACPUA continues to reinforce its commitment to transparency, continuous improvement and international cooperation, actively contributing to the strengthening of quality and trust in European higher education.
