The ACPUA attended the online webinar “Qualitative research evaluation: challenges and experiences” organised by AQU Catalunya.
The webinar discussed new approaches to research evaluation and the need to rethink the subject, approaching it from a more qualitative and multidimensional perspective. All of this was endorsed by the DORA agreement, as well as by the CoARA platform, of which the ACPUA is a member and signatory.
The renowned speakers insisted on the need to modify the criteria, procedures and structures, going deeper into the methodologies of qualitative evaluation of research, explaining the approaches available through a pluralistic and qualitative evaluation, bibliometric narratives.
Finally, two cases of multidimensional research evaluation carried out by the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) and the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) were presented.
