The ACPUA attends the webinar organized by the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) on the use and interpretation of the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ESG). The previous version of the U&I was adopted in 2020 and, having gained new insights from considering more than 50 new applications since the last revision.
EQAR's policy on the Use and Interpretation of the ESG (U&I) was developed to improve the clarity, transparency and consistency of the judgments of the Registration Committee. This revised version is the culmination of work that began in early 2024, when a survey was administered to which the ACPUA responded. The Registration Committee proposed a series of revisions to the U&I (in late 2024) to reflect precedents in its decision-making.
The webinar, in which more than 100 stakeholders participated, consisted of commenting on all the changes made to this document, which is expected to reach final approval in 2027.
