ACPUA attends the INQAAHE TALKS online event

25/06/2026

ACPUA attended the webinar organised by the international network INQAAHE entitled “The involvement of stakeholders, such as students, employers, support staff and other groups, in contributing to relevant and effective quality assurance (equity and access)”, highlighting the role that higher education institutions play in this area.

Quality assurance frameworks systematically identify students, employers, support staff and other partners as key stakeholders; however, in practice, achieving meaningful participation remains difficult. Through two excellent international speakers, the gap between policy intent and lived reality was analysed, exploring how genuine stakeholder engagement manifests itself in various national and institutional contexts, and how considerations of equity and access must shape the design of quality assurance processes themselves.

In this regard, since 2016 ACPUA has been developing its relationship with stakeholders through its ACPUA+ programmes. These focus on collaboration with society, students, and equality and diversity, whilst also maintaining internationalisation and excellence as cross-cutting themes for continuous improvement.
