On Friday, July 11, 2025, the seminar “International Joint Degrees and the European Approach” was held online, organized by the Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance and Strategic Foresight in Higher Education (ACPUA). The event brought together nearly 70 participants, a figure that represents a great success in attendance and highlights the growing interest within the Aragon University System (SUA) in processes of internationalization and academic collaboration.
The universities of the SUA are currently engaged in designing and developing new degree programs in collaboration with international institutions. In this context, ACPUA promotes spaces for reflection and training such as this seminar, with the aim of supporting and accompanying these initiatives.
The session featured a keynote presentation by Eva Fernández de Labastida, President of the European Consortium for Accreditation in Higher Education (ECA) and Head of Internationalization at the Basque University System Quality Agency (UNIBASQ). Her talk provided an expert and practical overview of the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes, covering key criteria, procedures, and successful case studies in the evaluation of international joint degrees.
