The Department of Education, Culture and Sport of the Government of Aragon has called all secondary schools in Aragon to present the ACPUA Seal. The session was moderated by Juan José Mejías, Advisor to the Training Service. The speakers were Cristina Rodríguez Coarasa, Director of ACPUA, and Belén Serrano Valenzuela, responsible for quality and internationalisation of the agency.
The information session focused on raising awareness of the agency and explaining the certification procedure for educational centres that host students on university internships for the Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education, as well as the Master's Degree in Teaching.
This evaluation activity, which began in 2013, certifies the good work of the centres that host students on work experience, underlining the prestige that this "University Work Experience Centre" seal brings to the more than 400 nursery, primary and secondary schools that currently make up this network. The high satisfaction rates (over 8.20/10) that university students report after their participation in the practicum have been highlighted.
Specifically, this activity, together with the issuing of the certification and the seal, is a pioneer among Spanish quality assurance agencies. Moreover, it is carried out applying European standards (ESG), so that the ACPUA as a full member of ENQA (European Association of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education) and agency registered in the European EQAR Register submits this certification activity to international evaluation every 5 years.
All certified centres in Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel have at their disposal an accreditation diploma valid for 3 years (extendable) and a quality seal.
