The Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance and Strategic Foresight in Higher Education (ACPUA) took part in the General Assembly of the European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA), held on June 16–17, 2025, in Cologne, Germany. Isabel Ortega, Technical Coordinator of ACPUA, represented the agency at this important international gathering.
AQAS, a member agency of ECA, hosted the event. The session on June 16 was dedicated to the General Assembly and working group meetings, while on June 17 the international conference titled “A Decade of European Approach – Reflections and Future Directions” took place. This seminar marked the tenth anniversary of the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes, a significant milestone in the field of higher education quality assurance in Europe.
The conference brought together experts, policymakers, and other stakeholders to reflect on the achievements, current challenges, and future prospects of the European Approach.
ACPUA’s participation in this forum reinforces its commitment to internationalisation and the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, as well as its active involvement in European networks that promote cooperation and the development of common standards.
