The ACPUA attended the Seminar organised by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) entitled "Seminar for agencies preparing for a review" on 27-28 March at ANECA-Madrid. 38 people from quality assurance agencies in higher education from more than 20 countries met to learn and share knowledge on this subject.
The Seminar dealt with different aspects of interest about the steps to be followed in European reviews: the timetable, the drafting of the self assessment report, the preparation of the site visit, the review of the reports, the role of the review committee, among other aspects. In addition, a workshop was held to prepare the area of improvement foreseen in the assessments called “targeted reviews”. Finally, different agencies shared their experience in the preparation of the reports.
Every 5 years, quality agencies undergo an audit in order to be renewed in the ENQA body, as well as in the European EQAR Register. The ACPUA, which has been a full member of both bodies since 2016, having renewed its membership in June 2021 for the next 5 years, will undergo an evaluation of its activity by a panel of European experts in 2025.
