Meeting of CEOs of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA)

27/02/2025

This morning, the Director of ACPUA participated in the second meeting of CEOs of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).

This forum for meeting and ongoing dialogue encourages the exchange of views and allows for the definition of the next steps to be taken within the Association in the definition of different issues of interest to all the agencies that are members of the Association.

Today's meeting allowed for further discussion of the update of the review of the European Standards & Guidelines (ESG) in which ENQA is immersed.

The different representatives of the European quality agencies have been informed about the planned review process and the steps taken so far in the definition of the new standards. In this regard, the ESG Steering Committee has met twice to date, focusing mainly on general issues and the introduction of the ESG (scope, purpose, principles and structure). This Committee has produced a reference document that was presented and worked on at the thematic session of the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG) meeting on February 24-25, 2025, where members of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) were able to express their opinion on the priorities on which the ESG review should focus.

The Monitoring Group will continue to work and present its progress at the CEO meeting for the relevant debate at future meetings.
