On 30TH of August, the director of the ACPUA and member of the ENQA Board, Antonio Serrano, gave a webinar organised by the CIIES (Inter-institutional Committees for Higher Education Evaluation, Mexico) on the topic "New formats and challenges in the evaluation and accreditation of higher education institutions. The European experience". The webinar was chaired by Miguel Ángel Tamayo, General Coordinator of the CIIES, and was attended by more than five hundred professors and quality experts from numerous Mexican universities, as well as institutions from other Ibero-American countries. The speaker focused his presentation on the dynamics of the application of European quality standards (ESG), generating an interesting discussion at the end with the audience.
In Mexico, the CIIES is an important body for evaluating the teaching of Mexican universities and its international prestige is accredited by the validation of its good practices by the most important global (INQAAHE) and Ibero-American (SIACES and RIACES) quality agencies.
