19/11/2020.- Today was held virtually the Conference of Ministers of the European Higher Education Area ROME 2020. During this conference, its 49th member state, the Republic of San Marino, joined the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). In his opening and closing speeches, the Italian Minister for Universities and Research, Gaetano Manfredi, highlighted the concepts of inclusion, innovation and interconnection, as the best ways to overcome the current difficult situation caused by the pandemic and build the future of our common educational space. The Spanish Minister of Universities, Manuel Castells, stressed the importance of having European quality standards in the field of digital education. In addition to the Ministers of the Member States, the consultative members of the EHEA (including ENQA and EQAR) also spoke.

The director of the agency, Antonio Serrano, member of the Board of ENQA, has followed this Conference ROMA 2020. The next European Space Summit will take place in 2024 and will be organized by Albania.
