Virtual Moscow: ACPUA attends the INQAAHE Forum 2020

21/09/2020 to 24/09/2020

Between 21st and 24th of last September, the INQAAHE Forum 2020 was held, it is the annual congress of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education. The Forum was dedicated to "Quality, Competences, and Learning Outcomes: How to be Fit for Generation Z Employability".  Everything was prepared for this global event to take place in Moscow, but the coronavirus has finally forced it to be held through a videoconferencing system. This has been a major challenge for AKKORK (Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Career Development), the Russian host agency, which has surpassed with professionalism and imagination (in this sense, the "Tea-Break - Virtual Taste of Russia" and the virtual brushstrokes "Some flavour of Russia and Russian Culture" deserve special mention). The sessions have been introduced and conducted lively by Sussana Karakhanyan, President of INQAAHE, and Erika Soboleva, Director of AKKORK. The agenda of the Forum has never lost sight of both highly topical issues and the challenges that the quality of higher education faces in the world in the near future: international accreditation of medical studies (Prof. David Gordon, President of WFME, delivered the inaugural lesson); skills and employability in relation to the new generation of students (from diverse experiences in Turkey, Ireland, India or the United States); micro-accreditations;  agencies' responses to the impact of the pandemic on teaching and their evaluation (with notable examples from Australia, Russia, Kazakhstan or Armenia), etc.

On the part of ACPUA, attended the Forum the Director and the Quality Assurance and Internationalization technician.
